Check Your Wordpress Privacy Settings
Most of the time when I create a new Wordpress blog I don’t even check the privacy settings. I thought by default it would be set so that everyone could view my blog; visitors and search engines a like. When creating BlogDub.com though I decided to go through all of the wordpress settings and make sure everything was perfect. When I got to the Privacy section I was shocked to realize that by default my blog was set to only allow regular visitors. I then went to check on some of my other Wordpress blogs and realized that the privacy settings were the same.
So, make sure to check out the privacy settings on your wordpress blog, it could affect your website getting indexed!
Hopefully changing that will increase the number of visitors my blog gets somehow, haha. I still can’t believe it’s set to block search engines by default! UGH
